ANI Washington

Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev has reportedly left the hospital and said that it was 'not bad' to be back at work.

When asked about how he was feeling, Gorbachev said that 'well' was an overstatement but he was trying to get better.

According to CNN, he said that he was admitted following a disease recurrence and was monitored with wires all over him.

He was earlier hospitalized in June 2013 for a general check-up.

The Nobel Peace laureate became a Soviet leader in 1985 and introduced sweeping political and economic reforms that came to be known as glasnost ("openness") and "perestroika" (rebuilding).
