According to an expert, Islamic State (IS) militants may be plotting gruesome attacks on UK commuters using chlorine gas that killed thousands of troops during the First World War.

Retired head of chemical weapons for the Army and NATO Colonel Hamish de Bretton-Gordon said that an attack like that would be "highly likely", reported the Mirror.

He warned that the attack could take place on a train or a tube or even a big match of football.

One can get 90,000 tonnes of chlorine without any license even when acquiring weapons in the UK is extremely difficult.
