Explosion by suspected ULFA militants kills two in Assam

At least two persons were killed and over 28 others got injured in an explosion triggered by suspected ULFA militants at a market in Rajgarh in Assam's Dibrugarh district.

The injured persons were immediately rushed to the Dibrugarh Medical College and other hospitals for treatment after the blast, which took place on November 23.

In a separate incident on the following day, a powerful bomb placed in a compartment of a local train in Kamrup district was defused by a team of experts.

These incidents have come days before the scheduled meeting of Director Generals of Police in Guwahati and visit to the north-east of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
