Condemning the shameful act in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra where a teacher stripped paraded class eight girls students on not finishing their homework, women activist Shashwati Ghosh said it is an offense for any girl to be punished in such manner in an educational institution.
"It is an extreme offense for any girl, particularly for adolescence girls, that they did not do their homework so they were paraded in semi-nude condition. I hope this will go as an example to other teachers also whether she is a head teacher or not," Ghosh told ANI.
She further said that she believe the education department will take proper care of the entire incident and in future there will not be repeats of such incidents because girls or any student has a self respect and the teachers should take that into consideration.
