Barcelona player Cesc Fabregas has reportedly praised his old boss Arsene Wenger, saying that he owes the Frenchman 'basically everything'.
The Spaniard left Arsenal in 2011 having joined the club eight years earlier from Barcelona, although the Premier League side remains close to his heart.
According to Metro.co.uk, Fabregas holds Wenger in particularly high regard, with the Frenchman taking a chance on a young Fabregas before promoting him to captain in later years, and the player said that Arsenal is in his 'heart' as it and Wenger gave him 'everything'.
The report mentioned that Fabregas' quotes are in stark contrast to those from Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who labelled Wenger a 'specialist in failure', having not won a trophy for Arsenal since 2005.
However, Arsenal remain in contention for three trophies this season, although they face two huge tests in the coming days, against Liverpool in the FA Cup before welcoming European Champions Bayern Munich in the first leg of their last 16 tie in the Champions League, the report added.
