Facebook is reportedly planning to soon turn off its chat feature from mobile devices and prompt to download the 'messenger' app.

The company has already notified some European users that in two weeks, messaging will be disabled and people will be prompted to download Messenger.

According to Cnet, users can use the chat feature for now and chat with their friends normally.

The company confirmed that this is not a test and will soon begin to disclose it worldwide.
