For those looking for addiction treatment or searching for opioids through Facebook will be redirected to a federal crisis helpline.

The company has worked with a policy team to introduce the new step towards combating drug abuse, Engadget reported.

A message will appear to those looking for treatment asking if they would like assistance and redirect them to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration national helpline. A similar feature will arrive on Instagram in the next few weeks.
