'Fan' collects Rs. 19.20 cr. on opening day

Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Fan' has proved itself to be 'fantastic' with highest opening day business in the Box Office in 2016, so far.

Film critic Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to announce the Maneesh Sharma movie's first day business in India to be Rs. 19.20 crore.

"#Fan records FANTASTIC biz on Fri. Plexes/metros are ROCKING. Fri ? 19.20 cr. India biz. Sat+Sun biz is crucial to put up a STRONG total," he tweeted.

Till now, it was Akshay Kumar starrer 'Airlift' that made Rs. 12.35 crore and followed by Jon Favreau directed 'The Jungle Book,' which earned Rs. 10.39 crore, in the Indian market.

 

In the international platform, the movie did a great business collecting of 2.7 million million (on Thursday (April 14) and Friday (April 15).

"#Fan Overseas: Thu + Fri $ 2.7 million [? 17.93 cr]," he tweeted.
