Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar has urged West Bengal's Minister of School Education to replace a textbook published with an error in depiction of athlete Milkha Singh.
Instead of Milkha Singh's photo, the publisher has used Farhan's picture, who played the reel Milkha Singh in the 2013 biographical-superhit 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'.
The story was based on Singh's life, an Indian athlete who was a champion runner and first Indian to qualify for Olympic finals. The film also starred Divya Dutta, Meesha Shafi, Pavan Malhotra and Art Malik in supporting roles.
The 'Rock On' star took to social media, writing, "To the Minister of School Education, West Bengal. There is a glaring error with the image used in one of the school textbooks to depict Milkha Singh-ji. Could you please request the publisher to recall and replace this book? Sincerely. "
On the work front, Farhan Akhtar will be next seen in Shonali Bose's debut directorial 'The Sky Is Pink', alongside Priyanka Chopra.
