Farmers in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir have been badly affected by a dry season and are crying for help.

Without any rain for the last five months, the farmers have been unable to sow seeds. The dry spell has led to a scarcity of water. Also, with no crops, there is a shortage of food for livestock.

"There has been no rain for the past five months and our lands are barren. Earlier, we used have a good produce of wheat. But now, it's nothing. Also, because of it, we have no food for our cattle. We have suffered losses," a resident of Poonch told ANI.
