Targeting the Congress-led Haryana Government over shady land deals involving Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday said farmers in Haryana are scared that the state government will take away their lands and will sell it off for throw away prices.
Alleging that in Haryana, a father-son duo is running a business while in Delhi a mother-son duo is running a business, Modi said: "There was a shortage in their business so now their son-in-law is also playing now."
"Shehzada had visited this place and had praised the Haryana Government's land policy. He praised this policy because even a penniless person can make 50 crores in three months," he added.
"The farmers are scared that the Government is going to take away their land and sell off their lands at dirt-cheap prices to the agents. Farmers have to sell their land at throw away prices due to deeds of son-in-law," he said.
"Is anyone among you a magician who knows the trick to make 50 crores in three months? This trick is known only to Shezaade's family," he added.
He also said that the leaders of the Congress party are not giving account of their work, and added that in a democracy, it is duty of the party, which is in power, to give an account of their work to the people.
Targeting the dynastic politics of the Congress party, Modi said: "The Congress considers people to be in its pocket. They say that their fathers have done this and their grandfather did this; the people are in our pockets. In a democracy, dynastic politics should not happen. It is an enemy of a democracy."
He said the Congress is finished and asked people to vote for a 'servant' this time.
