A local court here on Monday put stay orders on the removal of former chief minister Farooq Abdullah as the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) chief.
According to reports, Abdullah had said at the National Conference meeting that his removal was 'illegal', adding that he would fight for his rights till the end.
Abdullah has alleged that this was an attempt by the rival group, which enjoys the support of the ruling PDP Government, to target him.
Abdullah, who has been acting as the JKCA president since 1980, further said that he would fight with them till the end.
Jammu and Kashmir's Sports Minister Imran Raza Ansari was supposed to replace Abdullah as the cricket body's chief.
