Australian all-rounder James Faulkner has led Australia to a miraculous victory against India in the third ODI of the series in Mohali on Saturday with his impressive half-century, which has put his team on a 2-1 lead in the seven-match series.

Just three days after India produced the second-greatest chase of all-time in the second ODI in Jaipur, Australia produced a miracle win when faced with a similarly mountainous task.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Australia ran down India's target of 304 with three balls and four wickets to spare, which is their biggest successful chase on Indian soil, with the help of Faulkner's incredible 64 off 29 balls.

The report mentioned that the match turned on its head in the 48th over when Faulkner thumped 30 runs, including four enormous sixes, off a despondent Ishant Sharma (1-63).

Meanwhile, Indian captain MS Dhoni made his ninth ODI century and his second against Australia in Mohali with his unbeaten 139, and also became the first Indian to hit a century at the Punjab Cricket Association ground in Mohali.
