The breeding period of trout started in October-November last year at the Dachigam Fish Farm and proper breeding operations and weather led to better produce this year.
"This time, the breeding of fish was good due to weather. The weather was cold for a longer duration which was beneficial for breeding," said employee at Dachigam fish farm, Mohamad Sadiq.
Breeding is known to be the most important part of the trout production as even a small mistake can affect the production.
During breeding, eggs of fish are kept in their monitoring cells.
