FBI director slams Apple's offer of 'encrypted' mobile data

ANI Washington

Many law enforcement figures including FBI director James Comey were displeased with Apple's latest announcement that the company will not be able to decrypt users' mobile data.

The company offers full encryption of mobile data, which cannot be decrypted in any case.

Comey said that he was concerned by the move and he would like and believe very much that they should have to obtain a warrant from an independent judge to be able to take the content of anyone's closet or their smart phone.

He also said that the notion that someone would market a closet that could never be opened, even if it involves a case involving a child kidnapper and a court order, is senseless to him.
