The FBI is reportedly searching for a former Army recruit believed to be plotting a "Fort Hood-inspired jihad" against U.S. soldiers.

An alert was sent out by federal agency for the man identified as Booker on account of statements made by his friends alleging that he intended to commit jihad.

According to the Washington Times, Booker aka Muhammad Abdullah Hassan was recruited in February into the U.S. Army in Kansas City, Mo., and was supposed to have reported for duty at basic training on April 7, agents said.

He was discharged soon after the authorities learned of his alleged jihad.

Currently, both the FBI and the 902nd Military Intelligence Group at Fort Leavenworth are seeking his location, the report added.
