In wake of the recent Kansas City area shooting that left three dead, federal prosecutors are reportedly planning to pursue hate crime charges against the gun man, Frazier Glenn Cross.

According to CBS News, Frazier Glenn Cross of Missouri, a known white supremacist, has not been formally charged in the slayings, but officials said more information about charges was expected Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the FBI is reportedly moving to put the case before a grand jury.

Overland Park Police Chief John Douglass said that it had been unquestionably determined through the work of law enforcement that this was a hate crime.

Douglass said that while the suspect made several statements to police, it's too early to reveal what he may or may not have said during the attacks.
