Swiss tennis ace Roger Federer has said that he is currently focused on his semi-final clash with Spanish world number one Rafael Nadal and did not dare to think about setting up an all-Swiss Australian Open final with compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka.
The Swiss duo advanced into the semi-finals of the first Grand Slam event of the year after the 17-time Major champion and Wawrinka defeated Wimbledon champion Andy Murray and Serb Novak Djokovic respectively in the quarter-finals.
According to Sport24, however, Federer said that he could not even contemplate playing his friend for the trophy ahead of the semi-finals, where he will face Nadal, adding that the moment he starts thinking about the final, he would be flying back home before even reaching the finals.
Wawrinka will play Tomas Berdych on Thursday, a day before Federer's showdown with Nadal, the report added.
