Bharatiya Janata Party (VJP) leader Meenakshi Lekhi on Sunday said that it feels great when India is friends with other neighbouring countries and added that it was wonderful meeting Bhutan Prime Minister Lyonchen Tshering Tobgay.
"Bhutan and India have a very old relation. It feels great when you see your neighbors are friends and it was wonderful to meet the prime minister of Bhutan," said Lekhi.
"We discussed electricity production, and issues related to commerce and education," she added.
Toghay arrived here today with a delegation to attend prime minister-designate Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony.
Tobgay was warmly received and welcomed at the airport by Ruchira Kamboj, India's envoy at UNESCO.
