Amity International School, Gurgaon, welcomed its proud alumna Femina Miss India World 2015 Aditi Arya during a glittering "homecoming ceremony" organized at the school premises on Tuesday.
Arya was welcomed by Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools; Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology and Amity School of Fine Arts and Principal Arti Chopra.
Hundreds of students gathered to greet Arya with wild cheers, thunderous applauses and standing ovations. They all seemed awestruck with her impressive persona which is a perfect amalgation of beauty with brains.
With a packed itinerary, the colors of homecoming ceremony unfolded with sowing a plant sapling followed by wide array of cultural programmes by students of Amity International School.
The ceremony commenced melodious western songs sung by the students followed by a scintillating contemporary dance performance. Students from junior wing recited a beautiful peom on the success and also presented a beautiful handmade tiara to the beauty queen.
Dr. Amita Chauhan said, "Today, I feel like a proud mother due to the outstanding achievement of my students Aditi Arya."
She remarked that she is confident that every Amitian will be a success story.
Dr. (Mrs.) Chauhan praised Aditi for her hard work and humble approach towards life. She further extended her heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Arya for her extraordinary achievement.
Sharing her mantra of success with Amitians, Arya said that there is an X-factor in every person, and it is important to identify and nurture it. She added that the moment a talent is generalized, it losses the uniqueness.
Recalling her school memories, Arya said that earlier she wished to be a scientist and had her interests inclined towards the Science Olympiads and workshops.
Arya opined that sometimes, golden opportunities knock the door of a person unexpectedly; hence, you should have the backbone strong, work hard and have ethics in place to make the most out of those opportunities.
She encouraged the students to look out for opportunities and work on them, the path to success will be cleared with focused attitude.
Responding to students' query on her views on womanhood, she stressed that essence of womanhood is that a woman is everything and she dignifies every role with humility which makes her special.
Femina Miss India World remarked that she is overwhelmed with the honor and love she has always received at Amity International School.
Principal Arti Chopra said that Amity has always believed in providing an education for lifetime through holistic approach and not just imparting the theoretical knowledge.
During the visit, Arya exchanged light hearted notes with the students and interacted with them jubilantly.
