Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly interrupted veteran player Ryan Giggs' first training session with a phone call to show his support to the interim club manager.
Giggs was informed that Ferguson is on the phone as he put the United squad through their paces at the club's Carrington base.
Giggs, who played under Ferguson for 22 trophy-laden years at United, has been appointed as the interim boss for the club following David Moyes' sacking, the Mirror reported.
Giggs' first decision as United boss would be to hand striker Wayne Rooney the captaincy for the final four games of the season, the report added.
The winger is close to completing his UEFA Pro Licence coaching course, and is making a big impression on his fellow teammates as he bids to prove that he has the credentials to be put in charge of United full time, the report added.
