Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has claimed that striker Wayne Rooney is back to his best, ending the rift that threatened to see the player leave the club.
According to the Mirror, Rooney's troubled relationship with Ferguson saw the England striker question his future at the champions in the summer and try to force through a move to Chelsea.
United refused to sell however, and Rooney has got his head down since and produced some of his best form, scoring three goals in his last two games, the report said.
Ferguson said that Rooney has got his energy back, his determination and his purpose to attack players, adding that he was delighted to see the developments being a director.
The manager said that the English striker was back to the way everyone always remembered him for.
