Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes it will not be easy for Pep Guardiola to adapt to Premier League football when he arrives to take charge as Manchester City manager.
Guardiola, who would leave his current club Bayern Munich at the end of this season, had earlier signed a three-year deal of more than 15 million Euros a year to take over Manuel Pellegrini.
Admitting that City had made great efforts in getting Guardiola, the 13-time Premier League winner praised the former for his fantastic work ethic and coaching ability, Sport24 reported.
Ferguson, however, believes that English football, known for its fast-paced and physically demanding nature, would pose a challenge before Guardiola.
Earlier, Guardiola was Sir Alex Ferguson's first choice to replace him at Old Trafford rather than David Moyes, who succeeded him as the manager in 2013.
