A list of most-discussed topics of 2014 released by Facebook has shown that the FIFA World Cup 2014 and the Ebola outbreak were talked about the most by users on the social media platform.
The presidential election in Brazil occupied the third spot as 48 million people had 647 interactions in the form of status updates, photos, videos, comments and likes about the highly contested event, reported News 24.
The list, released on Tuesday, showcased Facebook's global outreach, the report said.
Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook's chief operating officer, said that social media makes the world a smaller place and builds community at an international level.
