Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Maneka Gandhi on Wednesday advised her niece Priyanka Gandhi to fight her own election, rather than giving sermons to Varun Gandhi about pursuing the right path.
"Fight your own election," said Maneka after being asked for her advice to Priyanka Gandhi.
"There are two different parties with two different ideologies. Now, it is up to the people to choose," she added.
Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday in a meeting with Congress workers in Amethi District had said that Varun Gandhi had deviated from the correct path and hence people should vote with discretion.
Meanwhile, Varun on Tuesday said, ""No one should consider my decency and large- heartedness as my weakness. I want to say that things have been said about my path. I am an ordinary youth; my path is not so important. What really matters is that I strengthen the path of the nation."
Priyanka later said, "It's elections not a family tea party. It's an ideological war.
