The officers who had investigated the death of iconic 'INXS' singer Michael Hutchence have opened up for the first time about the scene inside the star's room at Sydney's Ritz-Carlton hotel where his body was found.
Former detectives Mark Smith and Michael Gerondis have claimed that Hutchence, who had supposedly committed suicide while depressed and under the influence of alcohol and other drugs, had dark nicotine stains on his fingers and a months-old cigarette burn so deep it exposed the bone, News.com.au reported.
The duo asserted that Hutchence's corpse showed the tell-tale signs of a man bent on destruction.
The pair also revealed that Hutchence's suite showed desperate attempt to score drugs as he had rifled through a bin to found any last dregs of cocaine.
