Chelsea on Wednesday announced the signing of defender Marcos Alonso from Italian side Fiorentina on a five-year deal, reportedly worth around 23 million pounds.
Jubilant with the contract, the 25-year-old said he was eager to win some title with Chelsea, a place which he believes would provide him with an opportunity to develop, Sport24 reported.
While admitting that he had always dreamt of playing for the club like Chelsea, Alonso said he was really looking forward to the challenge ahead and was excited to work with new team-mates.
The Spaniard, who has also played for Bolton before moving to Serie A in 2013, becomes Chelsea's fourth senior signing of the summer after Michy Batshuayi, N'Golo Kante and Portugal goalkeeper Eduardo.
