An FIR lodged by the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Secretariat at the Jehangirabad police station here has named former chief minister Digvijay Singh and 18 others in connection with alleged irregularities with in appointments.
According to reports, the Congress party has termed the filing of the FIR as a 'vendetta' against Singh and questioned the lodging of the complaint 12 years after the matter was concluded.
Singh had been chief minister of Maharashtra from December 7, 1993 to December 8, 2003.
