Fire broke out at a Mumbai airport's lounge on Saturday; however, it was quickly doused without affecting the airport operations, a fire-fighting team said.
No casualties and injuries have been reported as yet.
The fire broke out in the ceremonial lounge at airport's Terminal 1A at 1:46 pm and was completely doused in about 90 minutes after three fire tenders were pressed into service, said P.S. Rahangdale, director, Maharashtra Fire Services.
He further said the cause for the fire was yet to be ascertained.
This is at least the fourth fire incident in Mumbai in two weeks.
On January 4, seven shops were gutted after a massive fire broke out at Reay Road in the city; days after a blaze at Kamala Mills compound claimed 14 lives on December 29.
