Fire broke out at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) station of Mumbai on Friday evening.
Additional Police Commissioner Krishan Prakash told the media that so far no casualties have been reported and the reason is also not yet known but the rescue operation is underway.
"The fire broke out at central administrative building of CST, the reason of fire is not yet known. There are possibilities of short circuit. But the fire brigade officials will be enquiring the main reason behind fire. As of now the rescue operation is under process. Many fire tenders are present here and are continuously trying to control fire," said Prakash.
"The closed windows are being broken to douse the fire and much success has been achieved as of now. The fire officials from the navy are also present here and they are ready to help. So far no casualties have been reported and further information can be known from the fire brigade officials only," he added.
