ANI Baramulla

A major fire broke out at Uri-II power project in Baramulla, North Kashmir on Thursday.

A local resident said the reason for the fire may have been a short circuit.

"I heard at 9 am today that this place had caught fire. It has been inaugurated just a year ago. We don't know the reasons behind the fire yet but some are saying that it is a short circuit," said Zafar Iqbal, a resident.

"We have been suffering from this problem for so long. Last year, 20 to 30 houses had been damaged due to a leakage there," he added.
