President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday expressed his serious concern after a massive fire broke out in the Parliament compound, directing the authorities to ascertain its cause at the earliest.
The official twitter account of the Rashtrapati Bhavan shared the President's views via a series of tweets.

Earlier in the day, a fire broke out at AC plant room near the visitor's gate of the Parliament.
Smoke was seen coming out of the building, as policemen urged people to evacuate the periphery.
Fire tenders were seen rushing in to douse the flames, with paramilitary forces also deployed to monitor the situation.
No casualties have been reported so far.
The situation is now under control.
