The Dutch Safety Board (DSB) has said that a preliminary report on Malaysian airlines MH17 plane crash will be issued next week that will be based on factual information available to the board.

According to News.com.au, the DSB said that further investigation would be done before a final report is written.

Almost 298 people, including 38 Australian citizens and residents, were killed in the plane crash that was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on July 17.

It was suspected that the plane that was downed over war-torn Eastern Ukraine was shot down by pro-Russian separatists.

However, no one has claimed responsibility for the crash so far.
