Five killed, 25 Injured in ceasefire violation by Pak Rangers in J-K

At least five persons were killed and 25 others were injured in a major ceasefire violation by Pakistani Rangers along the International Border in the Arnia Sector of Jammu and Kashmir early on Monday morning.

Media reports said that four to five civilians, including two women, were killed when Pakistani Rangers started fired randomly at Border Security Force posts and civilian areas in the sector at around 1.30 a.m.

Heavy mortar shelling was also reported from the area, where some of the shells hit a local bus stop.

All of the injured have been shifted to the government medical college in Jammu.

The firing in Arnia and RS Pura Sectors is still going on.

 

The BSF said it is responding to the ceasefire violation.
