Nik Wallenda, an American aerialist, completed a 1,500-foot high-wire walk across Grand Canyon live on Discovery Channel.
Wallenda, who is from Florida, performed the stunt on a 2-inch-thick steel cable, 1,500 feet above Little Colorado River on the Navajo Nation near the Grand Canyon.
He took just more than 22 minutes, pausing twice as winds whipped around him.
According to the Huffington Post, Wallenda did not wear a harness and stepped slowly and steady throughout. He jogged and hopped the last few steps.
Wallenda told Discovery after the walk that the winds were at times unpredictable and that dust had accumulated on and around his contact lenses, the report said.
The 34-year-old is a seventh-generation high-wire artist and is part of the famous 'Flying Wallendas' circus family, who are no stranger to death-defying feats, it added.
