Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majeed Memon on Thursday said that the words spoken by Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif may be very flowery but doesn't seem to be honest, while responding to Sharif's resumption of India-Pakistan dialogue and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's gesture of visiting Lahore on his way back from Afghanistan last week.

"We appreciate the word praise by Pakistan Prime Minister towards our prime minister but we cannot be driven away from such soft and polite words as we have already suffered in the past in the hands of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, you may recall Atal ji's experience of starting Lahor's bus and yet we had to face Kargil. So, it is difficult to be driven by the words spoken which may be very flowery and soft but what is important, is the action and the intention which doesn't seem to be honest at this juncture," Memon told NAI here.

According to the Dawn, Sharif said India and Pakistan need to resolve all issues in a comprehensive way.

His statement came while he was addressing a foundation stone-laying ceremony for the western route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project here on Wednesday.

The route will cover Zhob-Mughal Kot (N-50) and Qila Saifullah-Wagum (N-70).

Sharif also said that National Security Adviser Nasser Janjua had held meetings with Indian officials to discuss issues and conflicts between the two countries.
