Latest stats have revealed that footballers have a better chance of being bitten by World Cup star Luis Suarez than a great white shark

The New Statesman has reportedly revealed that there is a 1-in-2000 chance that Suarez would bite someone, considering that the Uruguayan striker has now taken a hunk out of three opposing players' flesh, compared to a 1-in-3.7 million chance of getting bitten by a shark.

According to News.com.au, The Statesman even compared Suarez's jaws imitations to the shark bites in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, which is known as the shark attack capital of the world.

The magazine reportedly calculated the odds of being bitten by a shark there to be about equal to Suarez biting an opponent.

The magazine even says that there is also a better chance of a Suarez bite than getting hit by lightning or an asteroid, the report added.
