Forest dept. promises action after python attacks man while taking selfie

Officials of the Rajasthan Forest Department on Sunday assured to take strict action after a python attacked a man when a group of people were trying to click a photograph with the reptile.

The incident took place on Friday after a Forest Department official removed the python from the premises of a school in Rajasthan.

Deputy Conservator of Forests, K.G. Shrivastav, said the incident was unexpected as all officers were highly trained.

The victim, Ashok Bishnoi, accepted the incident happened due to carelessness on his part.

The python was later released in the forest.
