Former English bowler Darren Gough has called for improved safety measures in cricket in the wake of Philip Hughes' death following a head injury after being hit by a bouncer.
According to Stuff.co.nz, Gough said that he feared the "negative impact" these accidents can have on the sport.
He also described the psychology of fast bowlers in the 10 minute long interview.
Gough choked up midway through the interview by the death of the Australian batsman and the circumstances enveloping the game.
He also commented on fast bowler Sean Abott saying that he was merely doing his job and that those accidents were very rare.
