Former Information and Broadcasting minister Girija Vyas on Monday strongly condemned the acts of violence by certain groups against the recently released Bollywood film 'PK', adding that the Censor Board takes well thought-out decisions.
"The Censor Board is the highest authority and they take well thought decisions. If society still doesn't like it, there is a way to express your opinion. There is no need for violence," Vyas said to ANI.
The former minister's statement comes after right-wing groups like the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal reportedly vandalised theatres screening the Aamir Khan-starrer, alleging that the movie hurts Hindu sentiments.
