Former New Zealand cricket captain Martin Crowe has suffered a relapse of his cancer.
Stuff.co.nz reports that Crowe responded to his cancer relapse saying his ''friend and tough taskmaster Lymphoma is back'', leaving him with ''more work to do''.
The 52-year-old New Zealand cricket great was first diagnosed with lymphoma in late 2012.
He underwent a rigorous course of chemotherapy to keep it in check.
Crowe, who was suffering from back pains, recently visited his doctor to find out that the cancer had returned.
Talking about his illness, Crowe said that one can never beat lymphoma, but said that he was hopeful that after the first episode he might be clear for a few years.
He added that he would now have to undergo further treatment.
