A police data analyst has reportedly found four messages out of 1,709 which could show an argument between Oscar Pistorius, who has been accused of murder, and his deceased girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, who he shot dead on Valentine's day last year.

The data analyst Captain Francois Moller reportedly told The North Gauteng High Court that out of out of more than 1,700 he found only four messages that were relevant to an argument.

According to News24, Moller also denied Barry Roux's question that whether, during the analysis of a WhatsApp message relating to the discharge of a firearm at Tasha's in Melrose Arch, Pistorius had said he had asked his friend Darren Fresco to take the blame.

Pistorius had texted Steenkamp to not say anything to anyone regarding his gun adding that Fresco had told everyone that it was his fault as he cannot afford for that to come out and Roux said that the message showed the Parlympic runner's concern over the media but did not say that he asked Fresco to take the blame, which was backed by Moller, the report added.

Roux is the defense lawyer for Pistorius, who has pleaded guilty over his murder charges, maintaining that he mistook Steenkamp to be an intruder in his home on Valentine's Day last year and shot her dead through the toilet door, the report added.
