Retired heavyweight boxing champion Frank Bruno had to reportedly step in to stop a bust-up between two other British ring legends at a posh black tie dinner.
Bruno stepped in as Lloyd Honeyghan and Errol Christie squared up to each other, while fellow guests at the Boxing Writers' Club's 63rd annual dinner in London's Savoy Hotel watched in shock as the pair traded insults.
A diner on a nearby table said that things got heated and it looked like they were going to come to blows. He added that he did not hear what sparked it all but it all got a bit tasty; real handbags at dawn stuff, The Mirror reported.
The diner said that Honeyghan especially seemed very agitated, and added that things got so bad Bruno stepped in to break it up. He added that Christie just moved away, but Honeyghan was so angry.
The diner also said that thankfully Bruno was there to calm every one down and ushered people away, adding that it was the sort of face-off one sees in the build-up to a big fight.
Former European middleweight champ Christie confirmed that there was a bit of an incident with Honeyghan, and added that he does not know what planet he was on but it's different to the rest of them.
Christie also confirmed that no punches were thrown, as Honeyghan was just mouthing off and acting the big shot. He said that Honeyghan even had a go at Bruno.

Christie now trains city slickers including X Factor host Dermot O'Leary at London's Gym Box.
Jamaican-born Honeyghan was known as the Ragamuffin Man during his heyday. He was the undisputed world welterweight champion in the late 1980s, the report added.
