Freddie Flintoff has been crowned as the King of the Jungle after entering Australia's reality show 'I'm a Celebrity' as an "intruder".

The former English cricket captain, who entered the first season of the show three weeks in, asserted that it was a bit strange because an Englishman wins something Australian, the Mirror reported.

The cricketing legend continued that he tried for years and he was used to going home with absolutely nothing and finally he had won something.

The 37-year-old sportsperson further said that he was shocked and he never expected to get this far.

Flintoff will take the home 100,000 dollars price money after beating the likes of sentimental favourite Chrissie Swan and AFL legend Barry Hall to secure the crown on the first Australian season of 'I'm A Celebrity'.
