French Chef Olivier Mahut baked the signature Tartes Aux Fruits in a kulhar and gave it a distinct oriental flavor, in Gurgaon.
The well-known chef from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris wowed the students at G.D. Goenka University by baking the dish in a kulhar and using the traditional Indian gold foil to garnish Pate a Choux, which is a French pastry.
Speaking about his inspiration behind the fusion dish, Olivier said, "Innovation is the international flavor. Adapt to the environment and innovate".
Another renowned chef, Mary Cech, who has twice featured on the list of the 'Top Ten Pastry Chefs in America' and once as the 'American Pastry Chef of the Year', also gave the students a powerful reason to switch to organic cooking by preparing four popular American dishes using natural ingredients.
Commenting on the dishes, Chef Mary Cech said, "These can significantly lower diabetes and hypertension".
