French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly on Friday paid tributes to martyred Indian soldiers at Amar Jawan Jyoti in Delhi.
She was received by her Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman and accorded a guard of honour.
The minister is on a two-day visit to India to strengthen maritime security ties between the two countries and boost technological partnership under the Make In India programme.
Parly is later scheduled to visit the foundation stone laying ceremony of Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL) in Nagpur, that is supposed to carry out offset requirements as part of the Rafale deal between India and France.
She will also board the INS Kalavri, first of the six Scorpene submarines delivered to the Indian Navy, under the Indo-French strategic partnership.
