Rajya Sabha Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari on Monday expressed his frustration and dismay over the behavior of the members of the House, charging them with holding the proceedings to ransom.
Ansari had to express his anguish after proceedings in the house had to be adjourned twice between 11 a.m. and 11.25 a.m. this morning, because members raised a ruckus over several issues, including the proposed tabling of the Insurance Amemndment Bill by the NDA Government.
The Rajya Sabha Chairman had to adjourn proceedings till 12 noon. Further details are awaited.
