A second student from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), who was on hunger strike against Gajendra Chauhan's appointment as the Chairman of the prestigious institute, was admitted to a private hospital last night bringing the number of protesters hospitalised to two.
A students' representative said that Alok Arora was hospitalised after he felt unwell with a drop in sugar level. Another student was hospitalised on Friday on advice of the FTII doctors after his condition deteriorated.
Three students had started indefinite hunger strike on Thursday, intensifying the ongoing agitation against appointment of Mr Chauhan's as the FTII chairman.
