Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwary on Saturday said that although he respects his Delhi counterpart Gautam Gambhir, the latter had crossed his limits.

Tiwari was reacting to the spat between him and Gambhir, which took place during a Ranji trophy match between Delhi and Bengal today.

"I respect him, as he has done so much for the country. But, we also don't feel good when someone crosses his limits. To be honest, I had not done anything wrong. When I went for batting, he spoke so many bad things to pressurise me that was beyond the limits," the 29-year-old batsman told the media here.

The situation turned so volatile that umpire K Srinath had to interfere.

According to reports, Gambhir even pushed the umpire, who was trying to pacify him. Touching an umpire is a serious offence that could even invite a ban.
