Swansea City football team boss Gary Monk has branded Stoke City's Victor Moses a 'cheat', saying that the winger should be ashamed of himself and punished for his role in helping his side win a penalty.

Monk's team lost 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium with his defender Angel Rangel penalised for a foul on Moses. And the Swansea boss, whose team is without a win in five league games, said that Moses should be done for diving and cheating.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes described Monk's comments as unacceptable and said that he actually heard the Swansea boss say that his player was a cheat which is unacceptable in his view, The BBC reported.

Hughes said that Monk is obviously upset, and added that Stoke has to come in there 20 minutes after the game to speak about what's gone on and sometimes one just has to bite their tongue and maybe that would come from experience.

Swansea led through a Wilfried Bony penalty but Stoke levelled through Charlie Adam's spot kick and substitute Jonathan Walters headed home the winner after the break.

Monk criticised referee Michael Oliver for awarding Stoke the spot kick for barely minimal contact, which allowed the hosts level at 1-1 before the break.

Monk said that Oliver's decision to penalise Rangel after Moses tumbled inside the box was an absolute disgusting decision from the referee in terms of the penalty against Swansea.

Monk said Oliver is the only guy who thought it was a penalty, adding that everyone in the stadium was amazed. He further said that how Oliver couldn't see it is a blatant dive is beyond him.

The Swansea manager said that he had previously raised his concerns with referees chief Mike Riley, but had not heard from the referees' chief. He added that it is happening week after week and it's always against Swansea.

Monk also said that Moses' fall inside the box was a blatant dive and called on the Nigeria winger to be punished. He said that Moses should be ashamed of himself for diving like that.

Monk said that he would not be able to go home to his family and show his face, for him it is a disgrace. He added that Moses should be punished heavily for that.

Monk said that if his player had done that he would not play in the next game.
